I agree with Bright over here. Command Points, as they are now, are a concept that was brought up and discussed by CCP Rattati's Think Tank which consisted of corp CEOs and/or directors who are directly involved in planetary conquest. The system was setup to mitigate or prevent exploits.
Besides, I don't see any point in converting CP to ISK. Corp members already earn ISK through pub matches, daily missions, and selling assets. The corp already makes enough ISK as it is via corp tax if it has enough members.
Dust University does not own any districts and we have been defeated twice already in PC while we were attempting to raid districts, but our aim was never to win a district. We are a PC raiding corp now. And since we don't have a district we only need to pay 25,000 CP to attack. And apparently D-UNI's CP accrual rate is high enough to recuperate those 25,000 CP in a span of about 48 hours on average. The only problem we have at this point is figuring out who to attack next.

Why be in a corp if you are not going to play with your corp friends? Iv played with the best players and they dont play to have fun. They are to political. Its no fun playing in lesser gear if the better gear is more fun to play with.
Dust University goes into PC mainly to have fun. We do have some very good players (me included) who are not political. We don't want to be one of those corps that strive to hold the most land and wield the most influence. We just want to get into a fight like a pack of Vikings, pillage a village, and get out. If we ever do win a district by any chance, we'll likely lose it again anyways probably through another PC battle.
D-UNI use to be kind of serious about it back when Planetary Conquest first started, but that burned us out. Moral of the story: Why So Serious?

Thats great that you have a ton of members. My corp isnt so popular because no one likes to fight for a religion cept a certain few. We are not here to raid districts but to have fun in the best gear and its harder to play in better gear if the isk payout cant keep up with our losses. For that reason people stop playing Dust. Its a significant amount and thus you have to play the same corps every game and then the game gets boring.
Since the payout system in PC is heavily dependent on what you kill, I often run ultra-cheap fits in the 10,000-17,000 ISK range. Since I often die about 10 times at the most in any given match, I will only lose about 100,000-170,000 ISK at the most. But if I play my cards right, and force the enemy to come to me while they come at me with their proto/officer/experimental gear, I can still make a profit.
But the main problem we face right now is that we get stomped hard by a corp who has the home field advantage. That and we just got started after an extremely long hiatus from PC so we were completely noobish. But every time we lost badly, we learned from it and adapted accordingly. Our first PC match was utter hell, our second one was less hellish but still relatively hot. Hopefully in the next PC match, we might make it half way out of hell. XD
But anyways, our CEO pays us a lot of ISK for going into a PC match so we are at least compensated for our losses.
